Charity & Prizes  -  Who gets the dollars?

 

General

  • The number of entries in each competition determines the total prize pool and the total donation pool.

  • A percentage of each entry is allocated to the donation pool and the prize pool.

  • As the entries increase (at set points) the percentage increases for both the donation pool and the prize pool.

  • Look at the table for the dollar breakdown for each range of entries.

  • If (of course it will) the World Change Now website becomes popular we will be changing the percentages so that even more is given to charity and prize money.

Charities

  • Generally four charities will be selected for each competition.

  • As a vote is made for a competition entry the voter will be asked to choose one of the charities as their charity of choice.

  • The number of votes that each charity receives at the end of the competition will determine their percentage of the total donation pool.

  • For example with a total donation pool of $1,540,000.00 (AU).

Prizes

  • A percentage of each entry fee is allocated to the prize pool.

  • This percentage increases as the number of entries increase (at set points).

  • The number of entries also determines the number of  prizes that will be awarded.

  • If the prize money does not reach the entry fee the original entry fee will be refunded to the first prize winner. This only happens in the case of the first prize.
